Project GANESH

Project GANESH provided immediate relief in the wake of the December 2005 tsunami to afflicted areas in Tamil Nadu. Food and water were provided to some of the devastated areas within 72 hours of the tsunami, and efforts were made to assist the coastal residents in returning to some degree of normalcy. The long-term rehabilitation effort is now being addressed by the Indian central government, as well as the Tamil Nadu state government, and various NGO’s. We are grateful to all of our supporters who contributed so generously in this time of need

Project GANESH continues its mission of helping to rebuild and restore India’s temples, fund temple research and sponsor projects that help revitalize India’s villages. We are currently engaged in temple renovation in Tamil Nadu, and exploring other renovation needs. We are also heavily involved in various education projects, with projects sponsored in Vrindavan, UP; Godicherla, AP; and Chennai, TN.

We have also sponsored such environmentally progressive projects as the planting of mahogany saplings in temple complexes and schools, and have sponsored research into the viability of a bio-friendly kerosene alternative.
